Welcome to the Ortsgruppen New England GSDC, Inc.  We are a GSDCA-WDA Sanctioned Club. We are a diverse group of dog enthusiasts whom live through out the New England Region (thus OG New England).  We all believe in the "total dog" that is of the standard both physically and mentally.  Our members participate in Conformation Showing, Tracking, Obedience, and the sport of Schutzhund.  We have members that are involved in responsible dog breeding, are in College, some that work in Law Enforcement, or are Homemakers, Teachers, in Business, Computers, Construction as well as Emergency Medicine.  We pride ourselves by always keeping training a  “Team” environment supporting each other regardless of your dogs pedigree.    We host SV-WDA Sanctioned Conformation Shows, SV Sanctioned Trials, GSDCA Temperament Tests, AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing, and Fun Matches for conformation and obedience.  Juniors are our future and we have juniors at training weekly getting involved in dog handling for the show ring and obedience as well as the full road to Schutzhund Competition. Our Club Meets on Wednesday Nights and Sundays RAIN, SNOW, or SHINE.   We encourage 2 visits to our field prior to applying to our club to see if this is something you would like to be involved in.  We expect 100% from our members to promote our club, our dogs and our sport in a positive manner and all members must donate time to work shows and trials and other events we are hosting.  We encourage all members to be on a committee so they can feel a part of what we are about and promote. We host an annual awards dinner in December where members receive recognition and awards for their titles and certifications they received from all their hard work throughout the year.  If you are interested in joining, click here for an application.  Also, here are a few helpful hints to share about what to bring when coming to visit..   Its very important that everyone understand how safety is our first priority. We practice safe dog handling at all times.  Our Team whom donates their time to the club training, have special rules that apply to all members. These rules are so everyone is safe.  Your dog must be in a crate secure until his/her turn on the field.  Please bring with you a bowl and fresh water.  If you do not have a crate, call ahead so someone can let you borrow one for the day while you get one for your next visit.  Bring a toy, tug, something for motivation that your dog loves.  You may bring food if this is what motivates your dog as well.   Please be in proper uniform.  If you do not know what this is, email us ognewengland@optonline.net The uniform will be for your dog too!
